Semi-Homemade Heart Shaped Cookies Tutorial

Matthew 22:37-39
And He said to him, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOU SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.”
This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it., ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’
John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
1 John 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

YUMMY!!!!
Actually I cannot eat them. I am gluten free.
I made these for my husband for Valentines.
It has been a tradition for many years.
I started it when his job took him away every Valentine’s Day.
Supplies:
One roll of Sugar Cookie Dough
Two Heart shaped Cookie Cutters
One large and one small
Flour
Wax Paper
Rolling Pen
Open the Cookie Dough
Divide the dough in half and return one half to
the refrigerator until needed.
Sprinkle flour on wax paper.
Knead the dough lightly.
Only use as much flower as necessary. Do not use too much or
it makes the cookies taste flowery.
Lightly spread flower on the rolling pin and roll dough to about
1/4″ thick.
Use the large size cookie cutter.
Cut out equal number cookies
Then use the small cookie cutter to cut out a small
heart shape in the center of half of the cookies.
Use a knife to remove the center heart.
Be careful not to change the shape of the cookie.
Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degree for 8 to 10 minutes.
Be sure to not cook to long. You want them to be a little soft.
Use a pre-made soft frosting.

Stir the frosting until nice and smooth.
Spread the frosting on the cookie that does not have the
heart shape cut out.
Place a cookie that does have the heart shape on top of the
frosted cookie.
There you have a nice Heart Shaped Cookie Sandwich.
Let them sit out awhile to firm the frosting.
They are ready to enjoy or you may store them in an air tight
container for a few days.
They never last long around my house.
Enjoy

Give Gifts That Give Back

If you have read my blog before you know how my heart longs for Africa.
You know how my heart desires to help the people of Africa.
First of all by teaching them the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:18-20
“Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,”
Every time I travel to Zambia I realize more and more how hard the women lives are. They have to work hard to provide enough food for their families. They have their babies and get up and go back to work with the baby strapped on their back.
One Chief I know declared that women get at least a week off after they have their baby before they have to go back to work gathering food and water.
There are many young girls who do not attend school because they are expected to stay home to help their Mother. It is considered more important for the boys to go to school.
There is so much more I could write about but I will not because of time and space.
I found Sseko Designs and fell in love with what they are doing for women in Uganda.
Please take a few minutes to read about Sseko Designs and see what they are doing.
If you are looking for a meaningful Christmas or Birthday present you may click on one of the banners to go to Sseko Designs and see what beautiful and unique gifts they have.  This not only makes a wonderful gift for you or someone you care about but through your purchase you will be giving to young women in Uganda. You will be helping them get an education so they can better themselves and give back to other women. This is very important to me because I am an educator and I have experienced first hand what a difference education can make in peoples lives.
 Matther 6:23
“But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand it doing,
Galatians 2:10
They only asked us to remember the poor—the very thing I also was eager to do.
Blessings to You.

Think About The Babies

Psalm 139:13-16

13

For You formed my inward parts;

You wove me in my mother’s womb.

14

I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Wonderful are Your works,

And my soul knows it very well.

15

My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;

16

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;

And in Your book were all written

The days that were ordained for me,

When as yet there was not one of them.

Exodus 20:13

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
13 “You shall not murder.”

Let us not remain silent. Let us speak up for the babies that are being murdered every day and every year. They have no voice but we can be their voice. Let us get to the polls and speak up for the innocent so they may live to do something great for God.

Fun Things I Have Been Stitching This Week

Hello Fall and Get Ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Hello Fall ****Battery Operated**** Tea Light Cover
I am loving making these Tea Light Covers. All tea light covers are made with patterns from Embroidery Garden.
They look so pretty on the sink in the bathroom. It is a wonderful night light for the bathroom or guest bedroom of your home.
The Pilgrim Lady and Man plus the leaf , turkey and Give Thanks makes a nice decoration for the bathroom or the Thanksgiving Buffet. Oh yes, why not add the apple, pumpkin and scarecrow.
 Without the tea lights.
I am starting to get in the Christmas mode as I am sewing for a Christmas Craft Show in November.
If you look close you can see the light. It is sooooo hard to photo the light and get it to look as pretty as it naturally does.
I love the little Penguin and Snowman. That was our house several winters ago.
So cute in the bathroom or on a buffet.
I finally got the Baby Boy Tea Light Covers finished.
These will make a wonderful decoration for a baby’s room or baby shower.
 Sweet Baby Boy
Baby Girl, yes the baby is the same.
