How Much is One Soul Worth?

How much is one soul worth to you? How much is your soul worth to you? This lady thought her soul was as worth a lot to get in this water to be baptized. Would you take the plunge in this water or any water to know that your soul is saved?

How much is one soul worth?
I suppose it depends on who you are talking to.
If you are talking to satan he will tell you that one soul is not worth anything.
2 Corinthians 11:14
No wonder, for even satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
John 8:44
“…He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
If you are talking to God, He will tell you that one soul is priceless.
Matthew 18: 14
So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish.
He will tell you there is not enough money in the world to buy one soul.
Luke 12:6-7
Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God.
Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.
There is not enough value in all the gold of the world to buy one soul.
1 Peter 1:18
knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold….
There are not enough diamonds in the world to buy one soul.
There is not enough oil in all the world to buy one soul.
There is not enough anything in the world to buy one soul.
God will tell you that all the souls in the world, past, present and future have already been bought and paid for with His own Son’s precious blood.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

1 John 4:9-10
By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten son into the world so that we might live through Him.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:32
He who did spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
ll Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
James 5:20
let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
Acts 2:41

So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

Let us Worship in Truth and Spirit

This is a picture of a church building where we worshiped on 8-5-2012 in Katete Zambia. The seats are about one foot off the ground. The worship service lasted about 2 1/2 hours.

John 4:22-24

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
23 But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
24 God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

The Cure for Anxiety

This baby does not worry about who will feed her, clothe her, carry her on their back, put her to sleep, love her, comfort her, etc.
Just as the mother in this picture meets the babies ever need, God meets our every need.
The mother feeds the baby when it is time.
God feeds us His Holy word if we will just partake by reading His Word.
Sometimes we choke on the food of His Word because we are not willing to digest it.
Sometimes it opens our heart so wide it hurts.
Sometimes we reject what it says.
Sometimes we take what it says and let it nurture us so we grow.
The mother puts clothes on the baby just as God provides clothing for us when we are baptized into Christ.
God provides for our every need.
We may not realize that He does because it may not be what we think we need at the time.
God may not give us everything we think we need.
He may say “No” or He may say “not now”, or He may say “just wait”, or He may say nothing at all.

Matthew 6:33-34

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Mark 10:29-52
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
29 Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, 30 but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.31 But many who are first will be last, and the last, first.”
Luke 12:22-31
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
22 And He said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds! 25 And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span? 26 If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you? You men of little faith! 29 And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying. 30 For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you.
