Create in Me a Clean Heart Oh God. Psalm 51:10

I chose Mark 12:30 as my bible verse for 2014
because I want to learn to serve God
with all my heart,
with all my soul,
with all my mind and
with all my strength.
I also chose this scripture because
I like that it says with all my strength.
Matthew 22:36-40  says;
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
 And He said to him,
“You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your mind.
This is the great and first commandment.
If the greatest commandment
is to love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul
and mind, I have to study God’s Word to
 learn what this truly means.
I need a clean heart to accept God’s Word.
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart,
O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Ezekiel 36:26
And I will give you a new heart,
and a new spirit I will put within you.
And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh
and give you a heart of flesh.
God is the one who can create  a new heart in me.
He will remove my heart of stone
and give me a living heart of flesh.
Psalm 139:23
Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
Romans 8:27
And He who searches hearts knows
what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes
for the saints according to the will of God.
Proverbs 4:23
Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life.
Matthew 5:8
“Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they shall see God.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and he will make straight your paths.
James 4:7-8
Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners,
and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Psalm 119:11
I have stored up your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly,
teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom,
singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
                                              Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active,
                              sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing to the division of soul and of spirit,
                                        of joints and of marrow,
                                 and discerning the thoughts and
                                        intentions of the heart.
God is the only one who can give me a clean heart.
He is the only one who can remove my old heart of stone.
Father keep my heart from any evil
so that I will live with You forever.
Father, create in me a clean heart
and make me like You in all my ways.
Father, I pray that I will love You and
You only with all my heart, and all my mind,
and all my soul.
Father I do not want to love any other God but You.
Father, please make Your living word dwell in my heart,
my mind and my soul all the days of my life.
Father, I please remove any unworthy thoughts
from my heart, soul and mind.
Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
Thank You for creating a clean heart in me God.
Thank you God for searching my heart and
 knowing my ways and thoughts.
Thank you for revealing Your will to me
through Your Holy and inspired word.
In Jesus Most Holy Name I pray, Amen.

What is your Bible Verse for 2014???

My Bible Verse for 2014 is:

Mark 12:30

English Standard Version (ESV)
30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
I like to substitute I shall, for you shall and with all my, for with your.
The idea for this came from my Brother in Christ J. Randal Matheny http://randalmatheny.com/2014/01/01/bible-verse-2014/
I will be posting more on this as the days of 2014 pass us by.
Also inspired by J. Randal is a daily Bible reading plan that I started today.
It sounds next to impossible but I actually read through the first reading and I was already longing for more. I am so excited for the challenge to stick with this reading plan. Let me know if you are joining in so we can encourage one another. http://forthrightpress.com/2013/12/31/daily-bible-reading-plan-2014/

God Helps His People so Why Worry?

I really like these sites. Disclaimer: I am not associated with these sites in any way other than I use them for personal study.

http://shereadstruth.com/ and https://www.bible.com/

I struggle with studying the bible everyday.  I intend to study daily but I let other things take my time.  I am trying to get into His Word every day. This plan helps me to stay focused and study the bible everyday.

This particular study is so timely for me as there is a recurring issue that my family is dealing with at this time. It is a matter that could cause an extreme amount of worry if I do not trust in God’s promises. I need these reminders daily. Even when things are going well. As for me I choose to serve the Lord God who is the Almighty God. His promises are true. I want to live in the center of His will and not mine.
The following is from youversion.com bible studies

A few questions for those with a tendency to worry (pause briefly and ponder each one):
• What situations in life are you most worried about right now? Why?
• Of the various situations currently prompting anxiety in your life, which can you personally change?
Over what issues do you have absolutely no control?
• What are the inward and outward signs that something has got you really concerned and nervous?
• List all the benefits of worrying. What are some of the drawbacks?
• Is worrying a “sin”? Why or why not?
• How do you think God feels when his children are panicky and anxious?
• Why do some people seem almost immune to worry?
• When is the last time you truly felt at peace?
Instead of worrying, you can cry out to God for help. In times of trouble, trust in God’s unfailing love.
God’s Promise to Me
• When you cry out to me, I will help you.
My Prayer to God
God, I’m crying out to you for help. Help me trust that you will come to my
rescue.
Jeremiah 29: 11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  12Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  13You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.   14I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.
Psalm 107:19Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.  20He sent out his word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave. 21Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
