Matthew 22:37-39
And He said to him, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOU SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.”
This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it., ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
1 John 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
