Proverbs 31:1-2 Your Mother is Always Right-Listen to Her

Read: Proverbs 31:1-2
Proverbs 31:1-2
The words of King Lemuel, the oracle which his mother taught him:
What, O my son?
And what, O son of my womb?
Isaiah 49:15
“Can a woman forget he nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb?
And what, O son of my vows?
1 Samuel 1:11
She made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life,…

Proverbs 31:1 King Lemuel recalls the words that his mother taught him. He listened to his Mother.
Proverbs 31:2 This comes from the deepest part of a Mother’s heart. When you carry a baby in your womb it changes you for life. You have a connection with that baby that no one else has.

Verse 1 Listen to your Mother and apply what she tells you to your life.
Thank you for my Mother’s teachings.
Verse 2 Your Mother has your best interest at heart. Your mother loves you like no one else can.
Thank you that my Mother loved me with all her heart.

Father God, Most Holy and Most High,
Your ways are not our ways, Your thoughts are not our thoughts,
Your Power and Might are not our Power and Might.
You can do all things through us because of the Power and Might that you have.
Thank you Father that you are are All Mighty God whom I want to serve.
Thank you Father for Jesus Christ and His Blood that saves us.
Father, Please help me to study your word and learn what you want me to learn from it.
Father, Please help me to be a better mother and wife.
Make me what you want me to be.
In Jesus’ Most Holy and High Name I pray these things.

Photo Challenge Day 15-Love-What is the Greatest Love of All?

I love the sunsets in Zambia.

I love the sunsets in good old West Texas.

Psalm 65:5-8(previously used 3-16-2012)
By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness,
O God of our salvation,
You who are the trust of all the ends of the
earth and of the farthest sea;
Who establishes the mountains by His strength,
Being girded with might;
Who stills the roaring of the seas,
The roaring of their waves,
And the tumult of the peoples.
They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in Awe of Your signs;
You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.
God made this beautiful sunset shout for joy tonight.
It made my heart shout for joy to see it.
I stand in complete Awe.
Thank you All Mighty God.
What else needs to be said about a sunset like this.

The Greatest Love of All
John 3:16(Previously used on 4-11-2012)
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
He loves us so much that He gave His only Son to die for our sin.
Romans 5: 15
But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
1John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Photo Challenge Day 14-Grass

Elephant Grass Trail Zambia

I have been blessed to travel to Zambia three times and soon to be four.
Genesis 1:11
God said, Let the earth put forth grass….
Matthew 6:30
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

In 2007 we walked through the 6 feet high Elephant Grass to three different village Preschool classrooms. We walked through the Elephant Grass so tall we could not see anything but the trail before us and behind us.
As we walked closer to the school site children started coming to the trail and joined our journey. By the time we got to the school building we had about 25-30 children.
The last photo is when we were walking back to the village where we were staying . The children followed us and called out good bye as they peeled off to go to their huts along the way. Soon we were deep in  tall Elephant Grass where all we could see was the trail ahead and behind us.
I had always wanted to know what was down those tiny trails  in the elephant grass. Now I know. There are many people and many villages.
What a blessing it was to experience the Elephant Grass trail.

Photo Challenge Day 13-Mother

When my Mother passed from this life on
April 7, 2007, I told my husband that she
had done what she came to do.
Proverbs 31: 28-31
Her children rise up and bless her;
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
Many daughters have done nobly,
But you excel them all.”
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

Jesus came to do a job and He did it.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life.”
John 17: 4
“I glorified You on the earth,
having accomplished the work
which You have given Me to do.
Luke 12: 49-50
“I have come to cast fire upon the earth;
and how I wish it were already kindled!
But I have a baptism to undergo,
and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!”
Romans 6:4
Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

Photo A Day 12-What Makes You Happy?

The Lady Walking in the Woods Zambia
What makes you happy?
Happiness is not found in things or people.
Happiness is found inside and it comes from God.
Many things bring happiness to my heart.
Visiting Zambia always makes my heart happy with joy.
The sound of the brothers and sisters voices.
The sights of Zambia.
The beautiful smiles on the people’s faces.
A Zambian baby on their Mother’s breast.
The beautiful Zambian children.
On and on.
The sight of a newborn baby.
The ornery smile on a four year old’s beautiful face.
The sound of my husband’s voice.
A phone call from my  son.
Job 5: 17
“Behold, how happy is the man whom God reproves,
So do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.”
Isaiah 52: 6-7
“Therefore My people shall know My name;
therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking,
‘Here I am.”
“How lovely on the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Only God can bring and give us true happiness.
